For the ultimate foodie, Gourmand is an app that provides curated restaurants from food and lifestyle experts for the dedicated food-lover.

A problem with most platforms that feature restaurant suggestions is they provide the entire gamut of options. I wanted to create an app that caters to a more niche customer: food-enthusiasts.

I started by creating an app map of possible screens the app would need, which evolved into low-fidelity wireframes of each screen.

USER TESTING

Starting with a low-fidelity prototype, I tested the app with real users in order to validate my ideas. This process allowed me to respond and iterate on real user feedback.

After the 3rd user, I realized that a low-fidelity prototype wouldn’t provide the feedback I needed. From this, I learned that it's important to prototype at the level of fidelity you need for proper results.
